MK Danny Danon, Israel’s new representative to the UN, last January: “…A good idea stays for a long time and eventually happens… I think the right thing is to encourage… Those who want to leave, to encourage their departure to other countries… if there’ll be an option… I’m sure we’ll see a lot of residents of Gaza Strip choosing to live elsewhere.”
After Gilad “Wipe out the UN building” Erdan left his position as Israel’s representative to the UN, Likud Member of Knesset, Danny Danon replaced him. Yesterday was his first day on the job, and he called the Palestinian representative “a terrorist in a suit”.
Ever since the genocide began, Danon, as a Likud Member of Knesset, together with supposedly “leftist-centrist” MK Ram Ben Barak from Yair Lapid’s party, have been promoting the idea of “voluntary emigration”, a whitewashed term for the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians in Gaza. In November, the two even wrote a joint op-ed on the subject, published in Wall Street Journal.
Israel should be banned from the UN permanently.
