The Al Mawsawi massacre occurred the night of 10 September. This was a designated safe zone as this Israeli ambassador said to a US correspondent. Nevertheless, it was bombed. It was all tents of displaced people. Civil Defense: In the massacre that took place in the Mawasi tent area of Khan Yunis, 65 people, including the dead and injured, have been recovered, and search and rescue efforts are ongoing.

Barghouti: The Israeli army committed tonight a new massacre against the civilian Palestinians who shelter in tents in Khan younes Mawasi area which was declared by the Israeli army as a safe humanitarian area. 100civilians including many children and women were killed or injured in the attack . 20 tents were shattered by the explosives. Some people were buried in the sand in 9 meters deep halls due to explosions caused by 5 huge Israeli rockets. 10 September: Tonnes of explosives were dropped by Israeli warplanes on the tents of displaced Palestinians in Mawasi khan Younis, killing dozens and several others are still missing.

40 killed, 60 wounded and rising. Digging with their bare hands to try and save their relatives after Israel dropped 2000lb bombs on tents in the “safe zone”.

10 September: Search efforts continue for the missing families buried under the sand at the site of the tent massacre in Al-Mawasi, west of Khan Younis. At least 40 people killed, many of them children sleeping in their tents.

Initial count: Gaza Civil Defense: More than 20 tents sheltering displaced families in the designated safe zone of Mawasi in Khan Younis were bombed in five consecutive missile strikes. After the bombing, the tents were completely obliterated, and craters 9 meters deep were formed. Many people are still missing underground. So far, 14 bodies have been recovered and numerous injured have been transported to the hospital.
