Building a pier for humanitarian aid?

Why not just tell Israel to open the crossings? or Egypt? A pathetic propaganda attempt but also to set up an alleged temporary pier. Watch the pier become permanent to ensure more suffocation of Gaza and more oil exploration off the Gaza shore. It should be remembered that on 11 October 2023 Israel awarded 12 licenses to six European companies, to explore for natural gas off Gaza’s Mediterranean coast. UNCTAD estimated the net value of the Gaza Marine natural gas at $5.5 billion.

Note also that the pier will take 60 days to build!! this basically means that thousands will perish of starvation and attacks by Israel in the coming 60 days, even as trucks sit outside the entrances to Gaza.

Meanwhile, it should also be noted that Israeli channel 13 reported that several American officials including Harris, Sullivan, and Blinken told Israel’s Benny Gantz that the Biden administration prevented several European countries, especially the UK, from imposing arms sanctions against the occupation state of Israel.

What then is that ‘aid invasion’ that is planned?

Details of the pier are here according to CENTCOM:

GAZA PORT BY THE US. New details from US Department of Defense on the Gaza maritime corridor emergency mission:

  • Over 1,000 U.S. military personnel Weeks to plan & execute (~60 days) U.S. Army 7th Transportation Brigade (Expeditionary) from VA tasked “Maintains the ability to provide unique capabilities from offshore without a U.S. military presence within Gaza”
  • U.S. Navy will not play a role because it doesn’t require “combat capability” Working with Military Sealift Command & logistics support vessels (LSV) involved;
  • multiple ships “from across the world will come together” JLOTS (joint logistics over the shore) operation confirmed; employed last year in
  • Ex Talisman Sabre in Australia Aid will be loaded from Cyprus ➙ floating pier ➙ LSVs (or barge) ➙ causeway ➙ ashore ➙ partners ➙ Gaza
  • Working with like-minded countries & partners, who will provide security & assistance on the ground
  • Sending out prepare to deploy orders (in process)
  • Provide up to 2 million meals/day
  • Under CENTCOM command
March: this will be used to transfer Palestinians
24 April: Jonathan Cook on X: “Biden’s two-month project to build a pier for Gaza – while the population starves – is likely to make aid delivery worse, it is now revealed. Not only is Israel insisting that it inspect (meaning delay) aid before it can be loaded on to ships in Cyprus. It’s also now insisting the pier not be located in northern Gaza, where the devastation caused by Israeli bombing has made it all but impossible to transport aid. Worse, Israel is demanding that the ships unload at its military occupation zone in central Gaza, where the aid will be inspected (meaning delayed) once more. So Biden has not only wasted two months through his inaction but actually given Israel a chance to create more obstacles to aid reaching the starving people of Gaza. A win-win for those supporting the genocide in Gaza.
On building the ‘pier’
21 March 2024: US State Dept asset Jose Andres and his World Central Kitchen are building a makeshift aid dock in northern Gaza from the rubble of destroyed Palestinian homes, all in coordination with the Israeli military A perfect symbol of Western hypocrisy on Gaza
Scenes of transporting a little aid in one of the biggest gases of the Gaza war, the port of Baidin, which was turned into a small military base, protected by a variety of American weapons, as we see in the second video, which is a weapon used to protect against marches. Beautiful scenes “under the name of humanity” are shown to the world, to show the form that America and Israel want to convey to the world, and in the background they continue to accomplish the basic mission of this “temporary” port at a cost of hundreds of millions of dollars. Yes, that is what America calls it.
20 March 2024: Sarah Wilkinson on X: We’ve got to talk about this US #GazaDeathPort — there are so many reasons, from start to finish, why there’s nothing humanitarian about it.

@prem_thakker
Gazans received 321% more food aid *before* the US floating aid pier opened
June: The failed pier is now being dismantled after the ‘rescue’ operation for which it was used.
