The story of Reem and her Grandfather Khaled Nabhan – Rooh el Rooh Soul of my soul
His story capture the hearts of millions who wept with him. He was holding his lifeless granddaughter whom he called Soul of my soul, trying to open her eyes as she lay dead in his arms, hugging her, then putting her on the gurney and wrapping her to be buried.

@BenNephrology In March 2024. I met Khaled Shaban in the courtyard of al-aqsa hospital. As I approached him, he smiled, welcomed me with open arms, we embraced, and spoke for about 10 minutes. In this short video, you can hear the drones that perpetually swarmed over his head, as those of all the children in Gaza. He told me “Allah loves all people. Whether you are Jewish, Muslim, Christian or anything else, Allah loves you as he loves all his children.” He also explained to me that he was aware of the Canadian governments support of , but that the people of Canada he always found to be kind and warm. Blame should be on governments and institutions
