I am Dr Mohammed al Najjar from Gaza and that’s me in the profile picture. My greatest dismay is that my death in an Israeli bombardment would be mentioned as just a number among the increasing figures every minute. For example, “A young man and three others were killed by Israeli airstrikes targeting civilians’ homes.” I am not just some anonymous figure, nor a lifeless number. I have spent thirty years becoming the person I am today. I am not an ordinary man; I am a father who longs for his daughter’s laughter, a husband who misses the warmth of his family’s embrace. I have a home filled with memories, friends who hold pieces of my heart, and dreams that still yearn to be realized. My life is woven with love, hope, and countless stories. To think that all of this could be erased, forgotten in the blink of an eye, is a tragedy beyond words, I am NOT a number! Dr. Mohammed Al-Najjar
