2 March 2024: After more than a month, @WHO and partners managed to access Al-Shifa hospital in northern #Gaza to deliver 19,000 litres of fuel; lifesaving medical supplies for 150 patients; and treatments for 50 children suffering from severe acute malnutrition. Over 240 patients are being served by a large number of volunteer health workers. Services are very limited due to a lack of medical supplies, fuel, water and food. The level of destruction around the hospital is beyond words. Ceasefire.

1 Feb, 2024: Chicago ER Doctor Just Back from Gaza Says Patients, Medical Staff Face Catastrophic Conditions
The Palestine Red Crescent paramedic colleague, Mohammed Al-Omari, was killed, and two other paramedics were injured after the Israeli occupation forces directly fired at them in Gaza City while they were transferring several wounded individuals from Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital in preparation for their transfer to hospitals in the south.

10 Feb 24: ISRAEL TARGETED THE RED CRESCENT – Israel’s military kidnapped eight members of the PRCS, including four doctors. It also kidnapped four of the wounded and five civilians, who were accompanying patients. Israel’s military broke into Al Amal Hospital for ten hours and destroyed several devices then attacked and humiliated paramedics. Israel’s military stole money from the society, its employees, and the patients. It also stole laptops and walkie-talkies. The Israeli soldiers “humiliated the [medical] teams and prevented them and patients’ companions from drinking and using the bathroom”, the PRCS said in posts on social media. “The occupation forces also stole money from PRCS employees, patients, and companions, as well as their personal belongings,” The organisation said; “Additionally, they confiscated laptops and wireless communication devices (VHF), which are the only means of communication in light of the communication blackout in Khan Younis Governorate for about a month.”
11 Feb, 2024: From Dr. Mads Gilbert: Dr Mohammad El Ron, head of general surgery department in Kamal Edwan hospital, before and after being kidnapped from the hospital. He was forced to completely undress in front of others when he was kidnapped, and he remained that way throughout the period of detention. They gave him a diaper to wear, very little food, no treatment or medicine for anyone, continuous torture for all detainees.” Dr. Mohammad, after two months of arrest, they threw him naked in front of the Israeli Kerem Shalom crossing. Dr. El Ron was previously our guest for specialty surgery training in the University Hospital of North Norway in Tromsoe during three months in 2011. He is an excellent surgeon, extremely patient- and student-friendly and a great medical professional and human being. 2 March 2024: Two Canadian doctors who treated patients in Gaza say the world needs to wake up and put an end to Israel’s war. They spoke to Al Jazeera about their time in the besieged enclave and their plans to use their experiences to pressure gov’ts to call for a permanent ceasefire26 March: MSF in Gaza – “When you see it for yourself, it becomes visceral.” @MSF Secretary General @Chris_lockyear just visited Gaza. Now, he tells Christiane Amanpour that if an Israeli incursion into Rafah begins, “I can’t imagine any scenario which is not utterly catastrophic.”

The 62-year-old has leukaemia. Before the war broke out she was being treated at the Turkish-Palestinian Friendship Hospital in north Gaza – the only cancer hospital in the Strip.
