On 5 Oct 2024, Macron made a statement that upset Israel. He stated: “It’s time to STOP sending arms to Israel”. France has stopped supplying Israel with weapons, and calls on other countries to follow suit to force a diplomatic solution to the conflict in the region: “I think that today, the priority is that we return to a political solution, that we stop delivering weapons to fight in Gaza.”
On 6 October,he backpedaled after he was rebuked by Netenyahu. Apparently Macron changed his mind after Israel targeted French Multinational Company TotalEnergies gas station in Beirut. This comes after Emmanuel Macron BANNED military aid to Israel. This targeted strike on TotalEnergie in Beirut was used to change Macron’s mind. Remember there is $8 trillion in Levantine Basin gas reserves that are the true target for Israeli annexation of coastal Gaza, Lebanon, and Syria.
