A Psycho on National TV
A prominent Israeli leader, Avida Bachar, appeared on one of Israel’s most-watched prime-time programs on Channel 13—and what he said should shock the world.
“I want to kick them out. To exterminate them. Every last one of them,” Bachar declared. When asked for clarification, he said, “Yes, the Palestinians. All of them. I’ll tell you what I envision. There is not a single person. There is not a single tree. Not a single house. And if I could I would poison the fish in the sea. I’m telling you as it is, OK? Everyone there is an enemy. The child who was born there yesterday in Rafah.”
When the host asked, “He’s an enemy?” Bachar replied,
“Of course he is. He won’t grow up to be a Zionist. Of course he’s an enemy.”
Sisters and brothers – this wasn’t a lone, unsanctioned outburst. The hosts and cast were all in agreement, sometimes laughing, signaling that this kind of rhetoric is widely accepted and normalized in Israeli society. They didn’t denounce it. Why?
This is About More Than Netanyahu
Over and over, American politicians and media frame the ongoing genocide as the product of a single leader, Benjamin Netanyahu. But this video, and thousands like it, proves otherwise. The genocidal thinking runs deep across Israeli society. A recent poll shows that over 80% of Israelis either support the starvation of Palestinians or don’t care one way or the other.
When this man said to the host, “I’m telling you as it is,” his words were chilling not just for their content—they are a window into the collective mindset. He is not speaking in isolation; he is verbalizing what many believe but are too polite, or too afraid, to say out loud.Subscribe
Imagine the Global Outrage
Now imagine anyone, anywhere in the world, appearing on national television in prime time and saying the exact same words—but substituting Jews for Palestinians:
“I want to kick them out. To exterminate them. Every last one of them. Yes, the Jews. All of them. I’ll tell you what I envision. There is not a single person. There is not a single tree. Not a single house. And if I could I would poison the fish in the sea. I’m telling you as it is, OK? Everyone there is an enemy. The child who was born there yesterday in Tel Aviv. Of course he’s an enemy.”
Who does that sound like????
It sounds exactly like Hitler. And yet when this is said about Palestinians, broadcast on national television in one of the most-watched shows in Israel, the world largely looks away.
Illegal Under International Law
What Bachar is calling for is explicitly illegal under international law. The Genocide Convention, ratified by Israel, defines genocide as acts committed “with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group.” This includes killing members of the group, causing serious bodily or mental harm, deliberately inflicting conditions calculated to bring about the group’s physical destruction, and measures intended to prevent births or forcibly transfer children. But what we see is that when Israel, for all these years, said “Never Again” to genocide, it was all a farce, a mask, a cover, a lie.
Bachar’s vision—extermination, destruction of homes, trees, and even poisoning fish—is textbook genocide. No euphemism or “voluntary migration” framing can hide that fact.
Why This Matters
Videos like this are rare windows into the unfiltered extremism that shapes policy and public sentiment. It demonstrates why Palestinians continue to face systematic deprivation, starvation, and violence. This is not a single leader’s agenda; it is a society-wide problem, normalized on national television.

Israeli TV producer calls for ‘Gaza holocaust, gas chambers’
An Israeli TV producer has sparked outrage after calling for a ‘Holocaust’ in Gaza, drawing widespread condemnation for genocidal rhetoric.
A famous television producer in Israel has come under intense scrutiny following the uncovering of a series of inflammatory social media posts in which he called for a “Holocaust” against the people of Gaza.
Elad Barashi, who has worked in the Israeli entertainment industry for several years, sparked outrage after posting on X: “Good morning, let there be a Shoa (Holocaust) in Gaza.”
In another post, he wrote, “I can’t understand the people here in the State of Israel who don’t want to fill Gaza with gas showers… or train cars… and finish this story! Let there be a Holocaust in Gaza.”
“Who is the fool who says there are ‘innocents’ in Gaza? Who is the despicable scoundrel who wants to let them flee to Arab countries or Europe freely?”
The comments, originally written in Hebrew in February and widely circulated online, were met with immediate condemnation by human rights groups and Palestinian advocacy organisations. They described the remarks as openly genocidal and indicative of escalating dehumanisation in the rhetoric surrounding Israel’s war on Gaza.
Barashi’s posts appeared to advocate for actions directly referencing the methods used during the Nazi genocide of European Jews, including gas chambers and deportation trains.
The timing of the remarks amid a worsening humanitarian crisis in Gaza due to Israel’s intensification of its war and blockade on Gaza further fuelled the backlash.
The controversial statements quickly drew the attention of international media, highlighting the gravity of Barashi’s language. Critics have called for an official response from Israeli broadcasting authorities and questioned the silence of major networks associated with the producer.
Barashi is mostly affiliated with Channel 14, a far-right television network widely seen as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s favoured platform for interviews and messaging.
There has been no public apology or statement from Barashi as of yet, and his X account remains active. However, calls are mounting for his removal from public broadcasting and legal action under Israeli incitement laws.
Meanwhile, social media users — including some from Israel — have denounced the comments as a stain on the country’s moral standing and an affront to the historical memory of the Holocaust itself.
The incident comes at a time of heightened tension and scrutiny over public discourse in Israel regarding Gaza, which has included what many consider “genocidal incitement” by media figures and politicians.
