From 7 October 2023 to 31 July 2024 Israel demolished 349 residential structures in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, on the pretext they were built without permits. 1,303 Palestinians lost their homes in the West Bank, among them 615 were children. Israel refuses almost all Palestinian requests for permits, and cites security or punishment as pretexts for more demolitions. This is a policy: reducing Palestinians’ living space to tighten Israeli control and expand settlements.
