Because beyond the obvious moral rot that this illustrates, it legitimizes these types of actions. If you praise “your camp” doing it, it means it’s fair game if adversaries highjack your supply chains to hide bombs in your population’s everyday objects. And it therefore means we all collectively live in a much more dangerous society. I’m well aware that this wasn’t the first terrorist attack in history but when mainstream media frame the mass targeting of civilians as an impressive tactical achievement, they’re not just reporting history – they’re helping write the next chapter of it.

@Marc14595 2 days ago I received this reply from BBC ECU Director Richard Hutt. He cares so very much for the Gazans, you see. They are experiencing a ‘humanitarian crisis’. He doesn’t seem to know why, or who is responsible for it. It definitely isn’t a genocide. Its an act of God perhaps?
