I am not the first or only veteran speaking out against needless wars, not by a long shot. Greater men and women, far greater, have taken up the torch of truth long before me, it’s simply our time to do it. I always find it amazing that Americans disregard us, the ones who gave our bodies and lives to our country and did whatever was asked of us. Why Americans see us speaking out and disregard us as insane, I don’t know. Who would know of the corruption, who would know of the lies, who would know of the truth more than those who did the dirty work? We are trying to warn you, your children, grandchildren will be used, killed, and thrown away for a war that has zero to do with America. No more lives for lies.
Senior Airman Larry Hebert, who is seeking conscientious objector status, told The Intercept he is seeking conscientious objector status. He views the new effort as baseline action that every service member should take part in. “This is your constitutional right and I advise everyone to exercise that right,” he said. “Whether you like to believe it or not, the Department of Defense supports the missions that kills innocent Palestinians. We cannot just ignore this fact.”

“Employee resignations are a routine occurrence at DIA as they are at other employers, and employees resign their positions for any number of reasons and motivations,” a DIA official told the Reuters news agency.
26 June: “I can’t be part of the system that enabled this,” declared Palestinian-American U.S. Airman Mohammed Abu Hashem as he resigned over U.S. complicity in the Israeli genocide in Gaza.
