300 Irish UN Soliders in Lebanon have decided they will stay at their posts and have refused Israeli demands they abandon the locals I’m privileged to know some of these young men. Many of whom have decided at personal risk to return to their comrades. – Óglaigh na hÉirean
The IDF has set up a Foward Operating Base (FOB) right outside UNIFIL outpost 6-52 in Southern Lebanon, currently manned by Irish Peacekeepers. The UN has protested FOB, saying it endangers UNIFIL troops. Hezbollah has told Irish Defence Forces they will not fire on the area despite the IDF presence to avoid inadvertently hitting the Irish troops.
Hezbollah says it will not return fire on IDF troops surrounding an Irish peacekeepers outpost on the Israel Lebanon border. Hezbollah has accused Israel is using peacekeepers as human shields. More coming up on @rtenews

Homicidal US state department says we should carpet bomb them with napalm!!

UNIFIL is deeply concerned by recent activities by the IDF immediately adjacent to the Mission’s position 6-52, southeast of Marun ar Ras (Sector West), inside Lebanese territory. The IDF has been repeatedly informed of this ongoing situation through regular channels. This is an extremely dangerous development. It is unacceptable to compromise the safety of UN peacekeepers carrying out their Security Council-mandated tasks. UNIFIL urgently reminds all actors of their obligations to protect UN personnel and property.

·Israel’s coercion of Irish UN Peacekeepers to vacate their position at Marun ar Ras in southern Lebanon has failed Facing down the aggressive Israeli provocation has ensured the invading forces could not establish a strategic base, and have now fallen back Free Lebanon

10,000 UN troops on the Lebanon border, from 50 countries, led by Ireland under threat from Israel to leave their posts. They are refusing to go anywhere. Their role is one of peace and they are sticking to it. On the side of humanity.
