@aroldo_lazaro: Peacekeepers in south Lebanon are working under harsh conditions. Yesterday I was able to visit Italian peacekeepers whose position has come under IDF fire and seen intense clashes between IDF and Hizbullah forces nearby. I am fiercely proud of their courage and commitment.

Breaking Netanyahu orders Irish, Italian and Ghanaian peacekeepers to move 5 kilometres north as he announces his plan for a full scale bombardment of the Lebanese border. Ireland has said they refuse to move from their peacekeeping posts.

16 Oct 2024: UNIFIL statement: This morning, peacekeepers at a position near Kafer Kela observed an IDF Merkava tank firing at their watchtower. Two cameras were destroyed, and the tower was damaged. Yet again we see direct and apparently deliberate fire on a UNIFIL position.
