The acute hunger crisis in the Strip is part of a deliberate Israeli strategy to cripple Hamas’ governance capabilities and banish humanitarian groups.

UNICEF expressed deep concern over Israel’s plan to use facial recognition technology as a prerequisite for receiving aid, adding that screening and monitoring beneficiaries for “intelligence and military purposes violates all humanitarian principles.”
